Paul Loeb van Zuilenburg is currently the Director of Music at Hilton College where
he joined the music department as Head of Brass in 1997. Prior to that he had played
in the then NPO for seven years. Paul studied at UNISA, The University of Stellenbosch
and the Rotterdam Conservetoire and holds a DMus, UM (performers diploma of the
Netherlands) and Licentiates of the ABRSM and UNISA.

He has competed in numerous national and international competitions and won first
prizes in the Forte, Mable Quick, Oude Meester, Natal 75th, Bottineau and Enschede
International competitions. He has appeared as soloist with all the major South
African Orchestras and regularly performs in trumpet and organ recitals across the
country. His first CD was released in 2000. Paul is married to the oboist Elize
Olivier and they have two children.
